The purpose of this website is to keep the current British students in The Islamic University of Madinah up-to-date with what is happening in the University and around Madinah. It is also aimed to provide an insight for those who wish to apply.

The Islamic University of Madinah is now allowing students to apply for residency permits (Iqamahs) for their wives and children. It is not known how long this will last for. (7-5-203)

The yearly book fair in the Islamic University will start on the 1st of April and will last for 10-14 days Inshaallah. (27-3-2013)

MadinahStudent.co.uk just learnt several minute ago that some of the Acceptance board of the Islamic University of Madinah are in Edinburgh and will be conducting interviews for acceptance today (Wednesday 16-1-2013). If you are able to makes it for an interview it will greatly aid your application.
The delegation will be giving lectures in Iqrah Academy 10 East Suffolk Road, Edinburgh EL16 1PJ from 18:00-19:30. Interviews will probably be held before and after the lectures.

We went into the Islamic University on Monday (23/12/2012) to inquire about the cut off date for the academic year 2013/2014 and we were informed by the secretary of the head of the Admissions Department that the cut of date for online application most likely be January/February time 2013. The Imam Daril-Hijirah conference starts today (Friday 1-6-2012) in Masjid Banu Salimah (Masjid Qiblatain) in Madinah. Sahykh Saalih As-Suhaymee will open the the Conference with an lecture explaining Ayah 153 from Surah Al-An'aam. It will finish on Wednesday 6th of June. Click Here to Download the Poster (1-6-2012)

Alhamdulillah, the Islamic University of Madinah is now granting enrolled students residency cards for their wives and children. Today was the first day for application and students managed to submit their application successfully. (12-3-2012)

The Islamic University of Madinah's Yearly book faire started on Tuesday 9th of April and will finish on 24-4-2012. (17-4-2012)

If you are graduating and your wish to send you books back to UK this summer please email The Mandoob and mention how many boxes of books you have. One of the students will have to take the responsibility of dealing with the sending of the books as has been done previously years. (6-4-2012)

Inshaallah Shaykh 'Abdullah Al-Bukhaaree start teaching the Three Fundamental Principles in Masjid Dhun-Noorayn, near Masjid Nabawi, on Tuesday 6th-11-2011 after 'Isha. He will continue teaching it after 'Isha every Tuesday until he finishes it Inshaallah.

The University will be closed for the Hajj holiday from Tuesday 1-Nov-2011 until Saturday 12-Nov-2011, so if you are coming on Hajj and want to go to the University for an application interview you will not be able to have one during these dates. (28-10-11)

The Ibnul-Qayum Conference started today in Masjid Banu Salimah (Qiblatain), and will continue for the next two weeks. The Lectures can be listened to over the radio on the website MakTaiba.net. Classes start after Asr, Maghrib, and 'Isha. For full datails see MakTaiba.net. (17-9-11)

An updated version of a dawa leaflet entitled 'What Everyone Should Know About Islam, The Perception of God In Islam' has been added to the literature page.  It is a dawa leaflet which explains tawheed for non-Muslims in the west. (3-8-11)

Applicants have to fill out an online application form and scanned images of required documents have to be attached. Shaykh ‘Ubayd Al-Jaabiree from the Major Scholars of Madinah has moved house. You will no longer be able to find him in the Haya Askaan area of Madinah and his duroos and Jum’ah Khutab will no long be held there. He has moved closer to the Islamic University to the Aziziyah Area (between Uhud Hospital and the Saudi German Hospital). (16/01/2010)
