• £100 Qatar Flight Charge by Friday 20-1-12

    I have been informed by a student’s father that the new British students’ Qatar Airways tickets have been rebooked for Sunday 4th of February. However he told me that Qatar Airways is saying that each student must pay £100 for the rebooking and that they must pay it by Friday 20-1-2012, i.e. today.

    I is advised that you all phone Qatar Airways today before 16:30 and enquire about your ticket. The UK phone number is 0844 8468380.

    I request that you all post a comment stating what you have found out and what your plan to do so to help each other out.

    Whether to pay the £100 or not, I do not know what to advise you all with except to pray salatul-Istikhara. I will try to phone someone in the University Administration I know but I don’t know if it will be much help.

      I have called Qatar Airways but they are asking for a booking reference number, in order to access any info on my ticket.

      they also said because it is a group booking we will have to contact the agent who booked our tickets in madina, and Inform him of this matter. if any brothers have successfully re-booked their flights, please let us know, Jazakallah.

      The Medina agent's number is 00966549190940. Qatar Airways London office said that the tickets have been rebooked for 4th February 2011 and asked to pay £1900 in total in one go (£100 each for 19 students/passengers) to their HSBC bank account and produce receiept before 23rd Monday, otherwise, they said they will cancel the booking. They have extended the original deadline of 20th Friday to 23rd Monday for the payment.

      To access your reference number, go to http://www.saudiairlines.com , on the left hand site you see where it says manage my bookings, go their and change the setting to E-ticket. Type in E-ticket then on the new page your reference number should appear at the top. You can use this at http://www.qatarairways.com

      I did as brother abu abdillah said and got my booking reference number, I called Qatar airlines with it and he told me that I need to make a payment of 100 pounds. He said that 19 people have to do such, he said that he will email madina on monday for more info and told me to call again on tuesday.

      jazakallahu khayr to all those who post . it has helped me a lot. I had a trouble with getting my medical report attested. Even now the doctor couldn't comment fully so I hope it's sufficient. Also I had trouble getting a second tazkiya as I don't really make myself known to people. Inshallah I will try and get my visa letter tomorrow with what I have.

      assalamu alaykum ikhwan i just rang qatar airways on one of the 0161 numbers. the guy told me that the flight has been booked, confirmed and payed for and all we have to do is turn up for the flight!!

      Alhamdulillah everything went smoothly today. Despite the many stories I had heard, the people in the cultural embassy were very nice.Especially Mr Ali. who does the attestation.

      As for the flights, we still don't have new ticket number yet so what do we do?

      plus , the 4th is a Saturday. So is it Saturday the 4th of February or Sunday the 5th of February?
