Some of the new British Students have announced that the £100 fee that Qatar airways had been requesting has been paid for, so all the new Brits can get their Qatar Airways Tickets. The flight leaves London Heathrow on Saturday 4th of February. The tickets have already been rebooked once with a lot of difficulty, so make sure you make the flight or you will probably have to pay for a new ticket from your own pocket.
This blog page has been set up for the Brits who have recently been accepted to the Islamic University of Madinah. Most of these students will be currently organising their paperwork and processing their visas.
If you wish to discuss your paperwork processing issues with other newly accepted students, or you have some useful advise why not post a comment.
It is hoped that this blog will help the new British students meet their new classmates.

It seems most people have travelled already. If anyone is still expecting to use the re-booked flight then get in touch with me.

I phoned Qatr airways and they told me that the ticket has not been confirmed, so I need to contact the person who booked the ticket.

it appears the instructions i commented about on one of the other posts was just to obtain a booking but not a ticket. Very strange as I was even able to select my seat number!
I really don't know what to do now.

assalamu alaykum ikhwan when i rang qatar airways they said everything had been confirmed and all i had to do was turn up for the flight. and since it's an e-ticket we don't need an actual ticket but just the reference number

Thanks for the info helal. It was just strange that there is no ticket number on the booking. I mean if you go to the qatar airways thing, then look at the booking reference. But if you look where it says ticket number it's blank. I will call them today also, just to ask them that specific question about why ticket number is blank. Because normally you would still need a ticket number for the eticket I would think.

asalaamu alikum, i just rang up qatarairways and they told me the same info as brother Helal had mentioned, if you can log onto your booking on qatarairways in the right hand corner it should say 'print itinerary', take that with you to TERMINAL 4. Allahu aallm.
if anyone recieves any other info, please do share with us. Jazakallah.

Helal. Your visa will give you 90 days from date of application to enter the country.
