• Tickets Update Sat 3 Feb

The British representatives of the Arabic Department Saifud-Deen and Iliyas went to the head of the Travel Department in the University this morning to discuss the current UK ticket situation. He did not appear to be aware of it and told them to return tomorrow morning to see what can be done, I have dealt with him several times and he is a good man and is respected by the students.

So please have patience and we will wait and see what the Head of The Travel Department says tomorrow.

If you choose to post a comment please make it constructive, I know you are all very anxious and just want to get to Madinah, but negative comments can be disheartening others, so if you write something make it beneficial or remain silent.

May Allah reward you all for your patience in your quests to seek knowledge of His religion.

    Abu Unays Mujaahid Al-Iscotlandee

      As salaamu alaykum,

Allahu A'lam what happened to the flight we'd been booked on.

Just a reminder for us not to doubt the wisdom in Allah's decree.

assalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu

i know right subhanaallah. Inshaallah everything gets sorted out soon.

I was speaking to brother ilyas today on whatsapp while he was going back and forth from the travel agent and the administration may allah reward his efforts inshaallah ameen.

If the administration is unwilling to pay the fine of 600 sr or £100 per student then somehow we need to pay all the money together to the agent in saudi as the agent said the airline will only except the payment if they get at least 10 students to pay the fine at the same time.

So i'd just like to see how many brothers here would be willing to pay the £100 and maybe brother mujaahid could collect the money for us if that was the only option. so please leave a comment if thats something you would be willinbg to do inshaallah.

jazaakullahu khir to everyone puting in there time and effort to help us

iqwaan try to remember some of the benifits and warnings of surat al asr

and inshaallah we will all be rewarded for our patiants and good advice to one another.

      assalaamu alaykum.

      assalaamu alaykum Ikwaan

maybe brother mujahid could make this a new post.

I have been in contact with brother ilyas from the arabic faculty all morning and he as asked me to ask me to inform you all he went to speak with the person about paying the fine. The person he spoke to argeed to pay it however after he gave ilyas a note to collect the money he was informed there was no money there and to come back after the weekend (saturday 11th of feb). so ilyas has asked me to ask the brothers to send and email to brother mujahid with your passport names and weather you will fly with the university or on your own. so ikwaan please email your full names to mujahid so he inturn can pass it on to ilyas asap as ilyas needs this done before he goes to collect the money and book the flights on saturday. as soon as this is done if i here from ilyas before mujahid i will post the time of the flights and other info.

      jazakullahu khir

New UK Students' Blog

This blog page has been set up for the Brits who have recently been accepted to the Islamic University of Madinah. Most of these students will be currently organising their paperwork and processing their visas.

If you wish to discuss your paperwork processing issues with other newly accepted students, or you have some useful advise why not post a comment.

It is hoped that this blog will help the new British students meet their new classmates.
