Update: 10th October 2021

Alhamdulillah, The Islamic University of Al-Madinah Al-Manawarah has started published their acceptance list for the 1443/44 2021/22 academic year.

Like last year, due to the pandemic the University is not yet allowing new students to come to Madinah and start studies. They are giving new students two options:

•they can start their studies online and complete them in the actual university in the future

or

•Wait and start their studies at the university in Madinah at a later date.

Online classes would start on the 17th of January 2022, which is the beginning of the second semester.

All the lists are not available with many countries’ lists being missing such as Canada, Malaysia, and the Netherlands. Furthermore, the lists are shorter than those of previous years. We expect more names to be added to the available lists, and Allah knows best. We have been watching the site for weeks, and a few countries were added with only a couple of names. Now a larger amount has been added. Is its more than likely that the university is still waiting for the Saudi governmental ministries to finalise the remaining lists.

On the University’s Admission Department website, the lists of countries are only listed under the Arabic side of the page, so click on the drop box and look for your country. The English side is currently still empty.

Names are displayed under the country you hold a nationality in and not necessarily the country you live in. For Example a Somali brother who has a Norwegian passport but lives in UK should look for his name under Norway.

If you find your name, there will be a tab in blue ‘details’ where you click on it and you can access more information.

The instructions from the details tab can be see here and here. Similar to previous years, only some basic information is available, with the acceptance letter, visa and plane ticket information not being available. This usually takes several weeks to come up.
